Both phones have similar dimensions though the Samsung Galaxy S10 weighs 157 grams compared to the iPhones 177G. The Galaxy is also 6MM longer than the iPhone XS. 

Display 

Samsung Galaxy S10 features a larger 6.1-inch screen compared to the iPhone XS 5.8-inch display. Both phones use AMOLED technology that iPhone resolution slightly lower. The Galaxy S10 supports HDR10+ while the iPhone XS only supports HDR 10. For the average user, both are great displays.  

However, overall the Samsung Galaxy S10 edge out the iPhone XS because of its larger size and notch. However, getting used to the camera cut-out and curvy edges may be tricky for new adopters. 

Cameras: Triple vs. Double Lens

Samsung Galaxy S10 features a triple-lens rear camera, made up of a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 12MP dual-pixel lens, and a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, with no OIS.

On the other hand, the iPhone XS has a dual-lens rear camera consisting of a 12MP f/1.8 wide-angle lens with OIS and a 12MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with OIS.

More cameras don’t necessarily mean better photos. The quality of lenses and software determines the pictures. Ultimately, both perform very well in photography though the triple-lens gives a small lowlight advantage to Samsung.
